Kenya Fernandes, the lead postdoc on our antimicrobial honey project, gave a talk to the Melbourne Beekeepers Club about her work on the effect of bee health on the antimicrobial properties of hive products. In this talk Kenya shares the methods that she used to determine whether hives are considered to be healthy or stressed, and how she measured the activity of various hive products, including honey and wax, propolis, brood food and pollen.
